Stop Predatory Gambling

What other issue brings America together more than predatory gambling?

Citizens for Community Values, a socially conservative organization in Ohio visited the headquarters of liberal group ProgressOhio yesterday. The two organizations, diametrically opposed on most issues, have joined together to stop the predatory gambling proposal in their state.

“It’s not a good history, but over this issue we’ve actually found common ground,” ProgressOhio Executive Director Brian Rothenberg said. 

Explaining why these two groups from the Left and the Right stand together against predatory gambling, CCV vice president David Miller said: “I think we care about people. That’s what brings us together here, is the serious impact that gambling is going to have in Ohio if we approve these four casinos.”

Ohio serves as further proof that our movement is an affirmation that Americans, despite all of our differences, share basic core principles and values regardless of whether we consider ourselves a part of the political Left or Right.
