Maine voters reject predatory gambling proposals

The citizens of Maine soundly rejected two predatory gambling proposals on Election Day.
Congratulations to those who led the opposition effort there, specifically Dennis Bailey and the CasinosNo group who have long fought against the state’s predatory gambling program.
It's great news!
I live up here and I’m so pleased they both went down to defeat. We are a better people than the gambling interests think we are.
Just the beginning
A backlash is building in America against government’s failed predatory gambling program. Maine is a state that has the potential to be at the vanguard of that fight.
