60 Minutes takes on predatory gambling this Sunday night

by spgadmin

The national news program 60 Minutes will be broadcasting their segment about predatory gambling in America this Sunday night, Jan. 9th. It will have a special focus on electronic gambling machines.

As you know, predatory gambling is a major issue that has received very little scrutiny by the national media up to this point. 60 Minutes has boldly taken it on. The more we can encourage people to watch it, the more of a difference it will make toward getting our country in the right direction.

We are asking you to please do at least one of these three things:

1) Host or co-host a 60 Minutes party by inviting your family, neighbors and friends to your home, your church or any other location you prefer that has a television and a few seats about 30 minutes before the show begins in your time zone. If you are willing to make a difference by hosting a party or co-hosting a party at another location, please let us know by email or phone. Here is a sample invite (click here for the text of sample invite) and we will send a sample press release on Thursday morning for you to send to the CBS affiliate in your region, as well as any other media you think should have it.

2) If you can’t organize a party, please email/call your neighbors and friends to cordially invite them to stay home on Sunday night and watch 60 Minutes.

3) Make a difference by donating to SPG Foundation to allow us to continue to educate the public about the most predatory business in America.

Thanks!
